First Stamp of 15years ago,,,,
As hostess of our Oct funday i picked the theme and sketch of the challenge,,, we had to make any size card, use our very first stamp and "jazz" it up like we make cards now and we had to use the triad colours of the colorwheel. This is my easel card that I made using blue, pink and yellow. MS trellis punch used for border. EK Success corner punch, scallop nestability and plain circle .Leaves Emagination punch. Cuttlebug rose template for background piece, square scallop nestability for yellow layer and finished it off with holographic peeloff strips. I got the most votes for my card but as i was giving out a prize i picked the runner up for the prize which was Dale, will see if i can get her card to upload too.

Christmas ornaments
Yip, time to think about Christmas!!!I made these 'homemade' Christmas ornaments for our crafties getogether, very easy ones that you can even do with the kids or grandkids. the crystal bead angel is just strung onto thread, the cone should have been a bit longer, misjudged myself here, but it can still be filled with candy, i made a swirly pattern on cardstock with glue, poured glitter all over it and let it dry.the rest is easy just stick down your lace and put a ribbon on. the star is made of 1 toilet roll cut into pieces after you cover it with a shiny paper, then cover the top and bottom with paper ,lay down and glue together, glitter, embellish etc,, very nice and easy to do. I saw all these ideas on the internet but i just look and do , dont keep url's,,i just do it once. Hope you like them too.

Its about time I post on my blog again, been down with a lower back pain but i'm on the recovery. I made this double pocket card for the Scorpals group challenge, a great idea for a voucher and b/day or Christmas card. You can make this card too, the tutorial is here
Other punches used are Martha Stewart double loop and a circular punch, unknown make, but i just punched at 4 sides.

ATC's
We had to make 2 season ATC for our card-io-logist stamp meeting and this is what i came up with,, winter and summer. The summer 1 is paper cut out laying it all together again, all from scratch,,,I sprayed it with glimmer mist but unfortunately the shimmer dont show up on a scan. we had to use 3 colours and picked them from a list,i picked brown for my basis and then layered with orange, bright yellow and shocking pink, the winter 1 was more suttle in browns and greens and yellow.

Envelopes
I enjoy making my own envelopes when i hand deliver a card,I dont trust the postal services to send my cards in these,,hehehe
Here's how you can make it too:
I make my envelopes with serviettes and freezer paper that i got from overseas or you can use our local brown laminated paper.Take off all the layers of your serviette that you only have the 1 layer with the bright prints on it, scrunch it up into a bal and undo, lay the laminated side to the back of your serviette and iron it with a DRY iron. Iron slowly to really melt the laminated part to the wrong side of your serviette. The more wrinkled it is the nice it looks. Trace your template to the wrong side and cut out. I use a piece of x-ray in the middle to fold my flaps against, then score it and stick down. I've cut all the different envelope size centres from x-rays, makes life just easier this way. Put it onto your cut out envelope and fold to have a neat and square/rectangle envelope. Have fun!

On my embroidery group we get a challenge per month and this was our card to make last month.
You get the pattern and then make it up as you pleases. I've done the embroidery, turned it around and did paper pricking from the back around the pieces where i've cut it out, punched the corners and then layer. lot of work into this card.

Kids cards
Hi there, hope you're all crafting away in this cold weather. I undertook a pledge this year to make cards for my almost 80year old mother as she love giving cards to her friends and family too and due to her poor eyesight, she cant do it anymore. well, this time i made mostly kids cards to fill her stash. She took me to my first stamping class with Blanche in George, almost 15years ago. Here are some of the 14 cards i made for her.
