Hi ladies, look what i've been doing,,,, i made 3 of these very easy scarves, very popular now and just in time to jazz up my winter clothes. I knitted with Rumba wool, not really a wool as you can see on the picture, then you open up the knitted part and it look so fluffy. take 2-3hours to make one of these and you knit with only 8 or 9 stitches.

Susan, I knitted about 5 of these when I was in Netherlands now. They were so popular they ran out and then brought in something similar, but in plain colours. I am pleased to hear it is available in SA.
ReplyDeleteOh wow...can't wait to see them in 'lewende lyf' LOL
ReplyDeleteWow, these are great! How many balls of "wool" do you use for each scarf and do you just knit plain?
ReplyDeleteDebbie its more like hooking the wool through those big holes,, but yes its garter stitch and i only used 2 balls for that length, didnt want a long scarf. The Samba wool is a thicker woven 'wool' but it works on the same principal.with me in Menopause i cant tolerate too much heat so this is perfect.
ReplyDeletescarfs are looks very elegant with very rich colors….:)))
