hi Margaret, theres no pattern for these, the wool look like that, it looks like a shoestring but once you've knitted in the top row of holes, you just stretch out the rest of the 'shoelace' and it makes those frills,, i knitted with 9 stitches,, where do you stay? email me privately susan@parchment-craft.co.za
