Embroidery work

I made this Alphabet letter for my dutch friend, card embroidery is so relaxing and seeing the finished project is just so satisfying.

Great tool

I love this little handy jewel/pearl/bead tool, it can pick up the smallest jewel, you add your glue and put it on your card with ease. this is a must have for your basic kit.

Boxes

I played a bit with my scorpal and made these pizza boxes,, they are A6 card size and the small 1 8cmx8cm. just love making these boxes with my new toy.

Christmas cards

It's this time of the year that your mojo is on vacation but you need to make cards for friends and family for Christmas, well, i got the newsletter of Gina K this morning and she had the Split negative technique on her video, that was the right inspiration for me to make a few of my favourite cards, just love this technique but always forget about it, well, here's 4 cards i made in a jiffy. quick and easy. Hero Art stamp.

I belong to the Scorpal group and our challenge were a Wiper card, i made this one , the black and white came out lovely.

Beautiful Jacaranda street!!

Jacaranda City!!

This time of the year, Pretoria is called the Jacaranda city because of the beauty of all the purple jacarandas, i love driving through Pretoria North especially as the jacarandas cover the street from side to side and you drive through it all, its just beautiful. i've taken a pic of a white jacaranda, its in Marija street and then the purple jacaranda. enjoy!!

Cardmaking Camp 2009

We had a wonderful weekend @ eMseni Christian Centre in Benoni,,,,, we created wonderful cards and projects like this one. This is my project from Blanche's class, Great Impressions,, its a canvas with wooden blocks that Dee prep for us before camp, we did all the stamping and decorating and then stuck it down on the wooden blocks. Mine is black and silver, it looks fantastic in real life,,, the other colours were burgandy/pinkish and brown/copper which also looked fabulous.
We all had a fantastic time, made a 12page chunky book, decorated both sides and then on sunday swapped it out with the friends that was in our group the whole weekend, a great memory to keep. 
I'll scan the other cards and add them one by one this week.

the tractor is done in green embr thread, the wheels black thread and the inner part in gold, sorry it doesnt show up on the picture.

I had such a great day, doing all my birthday cards for the rest of the year. Here's another card I made for a friend that i'll see next week.

World Cardmaking Day!!

I feel quite happy and chirpy this morning so i finished this card that i started yesterday,,,i came to a plato in my cardmaking but i got myself out of it and made a card. today i'm going to work on my Christmas cards,,, yip, before you know it, its time to send out those Christmas cards.

I received this lovely  rak card from my friend Amanda de Jonge from Vryheid. love this stamp and she coloured it beautifully. its actually a dark pink card but once i scanned it, it looks purple to me,,,

Turquise and black always looks nice, i love this Ek Success corner punch. i'v added tiny beads to the safety pin. enjoy your day!!

I fell in love with these stamps the minute i saw it. i've added some glitter to the shoe, silver little flowers with a black pearl at the top. Kick off your heels and just chill today,,,

I received the lovely Chocolate brown thank you card from Driekie v Deventer from Nylstroom , background with cuttlebug, nestabilities cut and stamped. Baie mooi, dankie Driekie.

Made this slider card for my bil b/day, the car slides up and down, i've added a stamped date strip behind the car and marked his birth date on it.one of the little cars are foiled. Credits to Lynne F for teaching me this a very long time ago.

Cuttlebug frame

I just love this frame, cut a few while visiting with my friend Ria in Kroonstad, stamped a few images too, she has the most gorgeous stamps,,, stamps to die for,,,,this is one of her stamps too.
