Kids cards

Hi there, hope you're all crafting away in this cold weather. I undertook a pledge this year to make cards for my almost 80year old mother as she love giving cards to her friends and family too and due to her poor eyesight, she cant do it anymore. well, this time i made mostly kids cards to fill her stash. She took me to my first stamping class with Blanche in George, almost 15years ago.Here are some of the 14 cards i made for her.

Bicycle

I'm on the roll with this bicycle, just love it,,here i've done with flowersoft,,, yip,, i took the plunge and bought some,, works great for me.MS punched border, EK Success corner punches. Impression Obsession sentiment stamp, bicycle - Great Impression stamp.

Christmas card

This is a Popout frame card, borders with MS punches, Nestability tag, HA Christmas tree and Calendar year stamp,BRS branch stamp and embellishment dangling in the opening.

Emboss Resist technique

Hi All, Emboss resist is actually very easy but it can look very pretty on any card and they will ask,,how did you do that??
I stamped the wording background first with Momento potters clay stamppad,,then you use your anti static pad and go over your card, then you stamp the bicycle with a Watermark Versamark pad, pour some clear embossing powder on and heat. Now you use a sponge and add some colour to your layer in circle movements, i used 2 different colours, Butterscotch Adirondak pad and Rich Cocao Momento for the middle, when you've gone over your picture, take a papertowel and wipe the extra ink off, your embossed picture will then come through and thats -emboss resist. enjoy!!

Scherenschnitte cutting

Made these for a challenge on one of my other papercrafting groups. Now it will look pretty on the grandkids walls.Handcut with exacto knife.

GI New Stamp

I received my new stamp from Blanche of Great Impressions and couldnt wait to try it out,, it stamps wonderful and i just love my card,,even if i must say so myself,,, i want to buy some flowersoft for my next card. This is an easel card that i made.

Embossing edges

Embossed around the edges with my special plate. i stuck about 4 layers of photo board together to do this.

Manhatten Rose

Made all these rose cards the weekend, the colours dont show up very nice but i brayered them all with Momento's , I die cut them all on pearly cardstock.

Easel Card

More easel cards i've made,, when you're inspired you've got to go with the flow,,,cuttlebug dots,crimper for the cupcake base, glossy accents to round it off to look scrumptious.

Easel Card

Made this Easel card for our Wish meeting competition, sadly i didnt win anything,,, Stampington &Co stamp on glossy c/s with Stazon, masked it and then stamped the words with Versamark watermark, brayered with green. for the tag i used Nestability fancy tags and then added mosaic tiles

Tokreen

I decorated this gorgeous metal bucket in a Tokreen class today, Martie showed us what to do, so easy but so breathtaking. Now i want to cover everything with tokreen. LOL

Folded card

Years ago a friend from USA, Nancy Klarer send me this green card, now i've developed it with the Big Shot into this cream card, its like a Swing card with the Big Shot and Nestabilities.

Walk the dog,,,

My card for the cardi-ologist challenge, we had to use the colour wheel,animal,scallop, embellishment and this is what i did. Brown and Green with a scrunched flower. GI stamp, reversed stamping of tiny doggie.

3D Shaker box

Got these finished shaker boxes at Checkers, really lovely images and cheap,,, how do you like them??

Milk and Cookies

I must say,, this is such a cute card to make,, you can find instructions here,,,  Dawns Stamping thoughts ,,,, on this rainy day milk and cookies sounds like the right thing to have and snuggle up.

3D Butterfly

This is a card I made with a stamp that Blanche of GI so generously gave to me at Hobby X. This is actually the 1st card I made using the Colourwheel. Turquoise and orange layers.3D the butterfly and then 3D the peeloff stickers butterfly on top of that.

Half cut Nestability

Made this card for Dale's birthday, half cut with Spellbinder oval nestability.This is a pic of the card close and the 2nd one open and standing.

Ribbon threading

Here's a card with the Water threading Fiskars punch , ribbon thread through, the rose is from SU that Kathy stamped for me, i coloured it with drops of inkers and spritz with water.

Pop Up Hearts

Made this Popup heart card,,want to give credit where i saw it but i watch too many videos and forgot,,,its very easy to do. I think it was GinaK. enjoy.

Fleur de lis pendant

Here's a card made with the very intriguing Spellbinder fleur de lis pendant,,a bit difficult to get the c/s out of the die,,,the only tip i can give you,, use waxpaper with each cut and it will pop out, otherwise you've got to struggle with a pin or toothpick to get it out. At the end,,, its worth it.

Embroidery cards

Here's two cards i made, embroidery cards are sooo relaxing and you can do it anywhere, at the drs offices,in front of the tv, just relax and make these gorgeous cards. the pink one is for a group challenge, the monogram for my friends birthday.

Paper Crimper

What a great idea,,not my idea but it looks great , dont you agree? super easy and fun to play with my crimper for a change.

Ribbon Weaving

Here's another ribbon weave i did. Just love this technique, you can do so much with it.

Creative Weaving

Got this weave idea from Becca's site,,Amazing Paper Grace,, quite tricky but i did it,,,the frame is from Spellbinders.

Embroidery work

This technique is called Temari. Its embroidery worked in straight lines and you dont add any sequins or beads, simple straight lines overlapping each other. I wont say its one of my favourites but it was a challenge on one of my groups and i made it in shades of blue, dark blue and black.  Corners are Fleur de lis nestabilities die.

Ribbon weaving

Punching

I punched this card with my Fiskars Water threading punch, then spirelli around the corners with embroidery thread, the beads and threading was done with a back stitch. not a good quality pic, sorry,,

calendar box

The drawer is empty,, and I plan to keep the choccies away this year,,,

At the sea

I had a ball in the water,, haven't been at the sea for about 6 or 7 years, it was fantastic!!!

Holiday pics- out of my box

Here I am,, totally out of my comfort zone,,, wasn't afraid at all,, just because they said so,,,,here i'm holding an Australian cobra and the huge Burmese Python.
